A roller garage door is a practical garage door option featuring a smooth vertical opening without the need for internal tracks.
A reason why roller garage doors are so popular is because of the minimal space they require. The vertical opening means that you can maximise your driveway and garage length, storing or parking right up to the door with no obstructions in the way for operating it. With its opening mechanism it means you can even park taller vehicles like 4x4s or SUVs near to the door without preventing the door from opening and closing.
The small roll means that roller shutters can be installed in places where headroom is limited or even obstructed. This is something that is not found with other types of garage door systems. This means if you happen to have anything awkwardly placed in your garage or even doors coming into the garage which may normally pose a problem for other garage door mechanisms, then a roller garage door may be the right solution.
For installation the standard Headroom required for the door 'Roll' is 300mm, although this can be larger depending on the installation position and the material chosen for the roller. For garage openings with restricted height we offer 'Compact' Roller doors that only require 205mm headroom for installation.
Roller garage doors can be fitted behind, in-between and in front of the opening, again something that is not possible with other garage door types.
Most of the roller garage doors we supply can be made to order to your exact specifications, no matter what the size. We can also show you different option for pre-finished colours and woodgrain effects to suit your styles and needs.
